UNICEF Mother's Day Luncheon 2014
The 15th Annual UNICEF Mother's Day Luncheon and Fashion Show brings together grandmothers, mothers, daughters and business and community members to raise money and awareness for UNICEF's life saving work.
Highlights of the luncheon include a special guest speaker and a fashion show hosted by Polo Park Shopping Center. This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for those in the community to make a difference for vulnerable children throughout the world. Our speaker this year is UNICEF Canada President & CEO, David Morley. David extensive career in international cooperation includes working as the President & CEO of Save the Children Canada, Executive Director of the Canadian section of Medecins San Frontieres/Doctors without Borders and as the founding Executive Director of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship. David Demonstrates determination and conviction as he works to promote and protect the fundamental rights of the world's children.
Every day, 18,000 children die from preventable cause like malnutrition, pneumonia, and lack of safe water. That's 18,000 children whose lives can be saved each day through simple, proven health solutions. The UNICEF Mother's Day Luncheon support UNICEF's work to reach the most vulnerable children with life-saving intervention. Because no child is too far.
