Fashion Meets Philanthropy: Uncrate India
Holt Renfrew's H Project in partnership with House of Waris uncrates the special stories, richness and diversity of India through a range of extraordinary products with extraordinary stories – all while giving back.
A mission of discovery
Alexandra Weston, Holt Renfrew's Director of Brand Strategy and designer Waris Ahluwalia, Founder of House of Waris, travelled through India to explore the artisanal depth and extraordinary products of the country and experience firsthand UNICEF's lifesaving work for children.
H Project is supporting UNICEF's work for children in India with a $15,000 donation to support local initiatives.
Take a look inside Alexandra and Waris’ visit with UNICEF in India:
UNICEF works to ensure children survive and thrive in India. For over 60 years, UNICEF has been reaching the most vulnerable children in India with life-saving support and protecting children’s rights.
The Uncrate India collection is currently at Holt Renfrew’s Bloor Street, Yorkdale, Calgary and Vancouver locations, but only until May 31, 2014 – so make sure to stop by before the beautifully handcrafted pieces are gone. Here's to doing good while looking good!
