The Opportunity
UNICEF Canada is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven Director, Brand, Partnerships & Campaigns to lead the development and execution of integrated brand marketing initiatives that drive engagement, revenue, and supporter growth.
Reporting to the Vice President, Brand & Marketing, this senior leader will oversee high-impact brand campaigns, manage national B2C partnerships, and lead a high-performance team. The Director is responsible for bringing UNICEF’s brand to life across paid, earned, and owned media — ensuring alignment with organizational goals and brand positioning.

Key Accountabilities
Brand Strategy & Campaign Leadership
- Lead the development of brand messaging and positioning across integrated campaigns and B2C partnerships.
- Oversee cross-channel campaign planning, creative execution, and performance optimization to drive engagement and awareness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align brand strategy with supporter journeys, fundraising goals, and advocacy priorities.
Brand Partnerships & External Collaboration
- Lead the activation of national B2C partnerships, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s brand values and marketing goals.
- Serve as senior point of contact for brand and creative agencies, managing strategy, timelines, and performance.
- Identify new partnership and sponsorship opportunities to extend reach and impact.
Paid Media & Influencer Strategy
- Oversee paid and earned media plans, including digital, traditional, and influencer channels.
- Lead performance marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal experts and media agencies.
- Ensure alignment of media strategy with campaign and organizational priorities.
Team Leadership & Marketing Operations
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team, including two Senior Managers and a Marketing Operations Coordinator.
- Champion a collaborative and supportive team culture focused on executional excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee campaign timelines, vendor relationships, production logistics, and quality assurance processes.
Performance & Reporting
- Set and track KPIs for campaigns and partnerships, using data and testing to optimize results.
- Deliver campaign reports and strategic insights to the VP and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Qualifications
- 10 plus years of progressive experience in brand marketing, integrated campaigns, and/or partnerships.
- Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience managing people, budgets, and external partners.
- Led the execution of a new brand platform, aligning internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns, refreshed creative assets, and cohesive brand storytelling across all channels.
- Demonstrated success in leading omnichannel marketing campaigns with measurable impact.
- Strong expertise and understanding of media planning and buying, content marketing, influencer strategy, and sponsorship activation.
- Experience managing high-value partnerships with corporate or consumer brands.
- Skilled in creative briefing, agency collaboration, performance measurement, and cross-functional leadership.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, agile, and results focused.
- Passion for social impact and commitment to equity, accessibility, and inclusive storytelling.
