As violence continues today in the town of Ras Al-Ain, the A’llouk water station in the town has now been out of service for more than one week. The station, situated near the fighting, provides water supply for nearly 400,000 people, including many children.

Northeast Nigeria: More children cleared of ties with armed groups and released from administrative custody

Twenty-three boys and two girls were released today from Nigerian Army administrative custody after being cleared of suspected ties with armed groups. This brings the number of children released this year to 44.

As the school year starts in Yemen, 2 million children are out of school and another 3.7 million are at risk of dropping out

As the new school year starts amid continuing violence in Yemen, 2 million children are out of school, including almost half a million who dropped out since the conflict escalated in March 2015. The education of another 3.7 million children now hangs in the balance as teachers’ salaries have not been paid in over two years.

UNICEF Canada reclaims Halloween with initiative to empower kids to defend the right to childhood across the globe

Hurricane Dorian: Bahamas Government and UNICEF to bring 10,000 displaced children back to school

With the support of UNICEF, the Government of the Bahamas today begins registering approximately 10,000 students displaced by Hurricane Dorian to enroll them back as soon as possible in safe schools that have not been affected by the natural disaster.

Humanitarian plane with UNICEF supplies lands in Hurricane-hit Bahamas
