UNICEF Canada is seeking to recruit a talented and high-performing individual in the role of Bilingual Donor Engagement Officer.

Position Description

The Bilingual Donor Engagement Officer plays a vital role in inspiring and supporting UNICEF’s supporters through dynamic communication and meaningful engagement. This position is key to fostering supporter confidence in the UNICEF brand, enhancing satisfaction through responsive and thoughtful interactions, and cultivating long-term loyalty by delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, the role provides reception support at the Toronto Office.

Responsibilities

Customer Service (65%)

  • Perform inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely and effective First Call Resolution
  • Communicate UNICEF’s mission and values clearly and consistently through both verbal and written channels
  • Greet and assist visitors while providing front-desk reception support at the Toronto Office
  • Respond to supporter inquiries and process in-person donations
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to cross-promote UNICEF programs and initiatives
  • Handle donor and supporter correspondence via mail and email with professionalism and care
  • Contribute to acquisition and retention campaigns through strategic cross-promotion and upselling
  • Strengthen partnerships by informing supporters about current campaigns and promotional efforts
  • Direct inquiries to the appropriate UNICEF departments or staff members
  • Support donor stewardship through timely follow-up communications and engagement

Data Entry/Processing (20%)

  • Address donor and supporter inquiries related to tax receipts, donation transactions, order status, address updates, and modifications to monthly contributions
  • Process donations promptly and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Perform general administrative tasks as assigned to support departmental operations
  • Propose, implement, and communicate process improvements to enhance donor administration and service delivery

Administrative Support (15%)

  • Administrative support as required

 Qualifications 

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of previous call center / customer service experience.
  • Previous experience with loyalty and retention techniques
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Raiser’s Edge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
  • Excellent at multi-tasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must be able to draft formal business correspondence and accurately enter information in various databases.
  • Effective Listening Skills
  • Proactive ability to solve problems and effectively provide donors with customized solutions
