Youth Participation

UNICEF is working with Children and Youth in Canada to amplify their voices and uphold their rights

UNICEF Canada works with young people in Canada to advance your rights and well-being, by amplifying your voices and helping to build your advocacy skills.

How Youth Can Participate

We are working with young people to make Canada a great place to grow up. Learn more about how you can be part of the change.

Join UNICEF’s community for young people, by young people.

U-Report is a free, confidential digital platform for youth, ages 13-24, that polls them on their perspectives about issues and decisions that affect young people. Make your voice heard and be part of the change you want to see in Canada.

Young leaders are ready for change.

Children and youth don't just inherit the future. They're helping shape it right now. National Child Day on November 20 is a chance to celebrate their rights, amplify their voices and support their leadership. Together, we can help build a Canada where every child is heard, valued and empowered to create change.

Become a powerful advocate for the issues that matter most to you.

Through UNICEF Canada's Youth Advocacy Program, you'll build the skills to speak up, connect with like-minded peers and take action on issues affecting children and youth. Join a growing community of young leaders working to advance children's rights in Canada and around the world.

Bring your campus together for children.

UNICEF Canada Campus Clubs bring students together to raise awareness, advocate for children's rights and support meaningful change. Connect with like-minded peers, build leadership skills and help inspire action for children in your campus community and beyond.

Meet young leaders driving change.

Get inspired by young people using their voices to champion children's rights in their communities. Meet UNICEF Canada Youth Advocates and discover how they're turning what they care about into action for children and youth.

Reimagine Playbook

More than 100 youth advocates worked together to create the latest Reimagine Playbook – their vision for a better future for young people in Canada.

Read their recommendations for decision-makers, adult allies and other young people on how we can support their advocacy on climate change; disability and accessibility; mental health; and racial justice and Indigenous rights.

Voices of One Youth

Voices of One Youth is a digital web series hosted by Saara Chaudry, talking to young people about the issues that matter to them.
