Officer, Monthly Giving (Acquisition)

(Permanent; Full-time; Remote; based in Toronto)

This role is responsible for supporting and executing the day-to-day activities of UNICEF Canada’s key Monthly acquisition programs. Reporting to the Manager, Monthly Donor Acquisition this role will help coordinate, execute and monitor high quality campaigns, activities and logistics aimed at growing the supporter base for the Monthly Giving program and contributing towards the vital work UNICEF delivers on behalf of children around the world.

The responsibilities of the position will include:

Acquisition & Partner Relations (40%)

  • Support the execution of acquisition campaigns across multiple channels including Face-to-Face, Digital, Tele Fundraising & Lead generation in collaboration with Manager, Monthly Donor Acquisition;
  • Work with key internal stakeholders and external partners to execute a robust donor conversion and reactivation program;
  • Support the delivery of trainings in person or remotely for partners and maintaining and creating training materials;
  • Analyze and traffic the level of inquiries for acquisition campaigns and work with the vendors to reduce the level of inquiries as needed;
  • Project management of multi-channel campaigns as needed;
  • Work with Digital Marketing team on coordinating paid digital acquisition campaigns including reviewing copy, creative and contributing to tests and new ideas;
  • Lead call calibration sessions for acquisition tele fundraising partners and provide actionable feedback to improve performance;
  • Keep donor services and other departments informed of all acquisition campaign activities;
  • Coordinate and participate in weekly status calls with vendors;
  • Coordinate and participate in program mystery shopping and Q&A;
  • Analyze and evaluate campaign performance and recommend and implement program changes.

Data Analysis, Reporting & Budget (30%)

  • Evaluate and assess acquisition campaign performance and recommend data-driven optimization improvements;
  • Present campaign results and test findings to Manager on monthly basis and at strategic meetings;
  • Provide recommendations for developing testing opportunities and results analysis with compilation of post mortems;
  • Contribute to the development of forecasts and projections for relevant campaigns;
  • Track acquisition campaign results against targets and take recommended corrective actions as needed;
  • Coordinate and regularly apply business/financial analysis to help meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets;
  • Work with Business Solutions team and vendors to support donor data related processes;
  • Participate in planning and strategy sessions for acquisition campaigns and activities, providing input on best practices and tactics to achieve desired results;
  • Build weekly reporting dashboards to monitor performance of campaigns;
  • Contribute to monthly vendor performance and feedback reports and Face-to-Face specific report for UNICEF Global;
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual vendor performance reviews;
  • Reconcile weekly vendor reports for Face-to-Face and telemarketing;
  • Coordinate between vendors and Business Solutions team on all outgoing data files including data pulls for telemarketing, NET file uploads and cancellations.

Marketing & Operational Coordination (20%)

  • Research content, facts and statistics for training materials;
  • Coordinate the development and approval of script briefs and timelines for relevant campaigns; work with vendors and colleagues to ensure campaigns are running smoothly and timelines/goals are met and approved by appropriate internal stakeholders;
  • Assess and recommend opportunities to improve acquisition processes and reduce costs;
  • Manage marketing collateral as required;
  • Execute day-to-day creative development with agencies and internal stakeholders.

Administration (10%)

  • Ensure all documentation regarding expenses & donor documentation are up to date and accurate;
  • Ensure all activities are budget approved and within annual operating plan or joint strategic plan;
  • Reconcile expenses on a monthly basis with financial reports and present findings to Manager;
  • Stay current with research, fundraising trends and areas of development for acquisition;
  • Track and develop analytics using Raiser’s Edge.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ relevant work experience in Face-to-Face, telemarketing or other vendor/partner/project management;
  • A post-secondary education in marketing, fundraising, business or a related field or equivalent year’s work experience;
  • Proven experience working with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Business / financial acumen – including budgeting and campaign analysis experience;
  • Experience co-ordinating and delivering trainings;
  • Strong organization and program management skills with high attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar relational database (an asset);
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word);
  • French language skills (an asset).

Salary range: $48,450 to $50,000 per year.
