UNICEF Canada and Teck partner to save the lives of children in India

UNICEF Canada and Teck Resources Limited (Teck) today announced that Teck has committed to invest an additional CAD$2.5 million to support life-saving zinc and oral rehydration salt (ORS) treatments for children in India over the next five years.

Half of world’s teens experience peer violence in and around school – UNICEF

Around 150 million students aged 13 to 15 worldwide report having experienced peer violence in and around school, according to a new report released by UNICEF today. Half of students aged 13 to 15 years in Canada (50%) reported being bullied at school at least once in the past couple of months and/or having been involved in a physical fight at least once in the past 12 months.
