The Opportunity
UNICEF Canada is seeking a highly organized and delivery-focused Project Manager to coordinate the planning, prioritization, and execution of technology initiatives across the Digital Innovation & Technology team.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Technology & Experience, this role supports UNICEF Canada’s internal operations by ensuring staff have the digital tools, platforms, and data needed for fundraising, donor engagement, and operational excellence.
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the Digital Innovation & Technology governance and operating model, implementing structured project management practices, and serving as the central coordination point across CRM, data, digital, and infrastructure workstreams.
Key Accountabilities
Technology Project Management (30%)
- Manage planning and delivery of technology projects across Digital Innovation & Technology teams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and task tracking.
- Coordinate activities across IT, Data Intelligence, and Marketing Technology teams.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and resource needs, supporting mitigation planning.
Operational Work Coordination (25%)
- Coordinate and track operational workstreams, including system enhancements, reporting needs, and digital platform updates.
- Support intake, triage, and prioritization of internal requests.
- Maintain visibility into operational workloads and balance project vs. operational demands.
- Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
Governance & Delivery Processes (15%)
- Support implementation of governance and operating models for Digital Innovation & Technology.
- Maintain structured workflows and tracking using tools such as Asana.
- Ensure consistent documentation, task tracking, and delivery workflows.
- Reinforce adherence to documentation, QA, release, and change management standards.
Cross‑Team Coordination (10%)
- Facilitate collaboration between technology teams and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into structured work plans.
- Support campaign, donor journey, reporting, and digital initiative alignment.
- Facilitate planning meetings and check‑ins.
Vendor & Partner Coordination (10%)
- Coordinate with external vendors supporting CRM, data, and digital platform initiatives.
- Track vendor deliverables and ensure alignment with timelines and priorities.
- Assist in communications between internal teams and partners.
Project Reporting (10%)
- Maintain project documentation including plans, timelines, and risk logs.
- Provide structured reporting on status, risks, and performance.
- Track milestones, deliverables, and action items across initiatives.
- Prepare updates for leadership about project and workload visibility.
Qualifications
- University degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in project management, ideally in technology or digital environments.
- Experience managing multiple projects and operational workstreams concurrently.
- Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Jira, or similar.
- Understanding of enterprise technology environments including CRM, digital platforms, infrastructure, and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and coordination capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with vendor coordination and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Project management certifications (PMP, Agile) are an asset.
- Nonprofit experience is an asset.
