Work Environment:UNICEF Canada currently operates under a Fixed-Hybrid model that requires team members to attend the office at least 2 days/week (Tuesday & Wednesday).

The Opportunity

UNICEF Canada is undertaking a major modernization of its technology ecosystem to support long-term fundraising growth, enhanced donor engagement, improved operational efficiency, and stronger data-driven decision-making.

The Salesforce Transformation Lead will lead planning, governance, and delivery of this strategic initiative—including end-to-end delivery of the Salesforce CRM implementation and the broader enterprise platform transformation.

This role owns solution design, drives business process transformation, and ensures measurable outcomes across fundraising, donor engagement, finance, and operations.

Key Accountabilities

Technology Transformation Leadership (25%)

  • Lead planning and execution of the multi-year technology transformation program.
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise technology roadmap.
  • Own solution architecture decisions and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Lead modernization across CRM, financial systems, digital engagement, reporting, and contact centre technologies.
  • Guide transition from legacy systems to integrated, modern platforms including Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.
  • Ensure alignment with UNICEF Canada’s digital, data, and AI enablement strategy.
  • Define and manage the post-implementation Salesforce roadmap.

Program Governance, Vendor Oversight & Executive Reporting (25%)

  • Establish governance structures including steering committees and working groups.
  • Oversee full lifecycle delivery including discovery, design, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies, resources, and change impacts across workstreams.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with timelines, scope, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Manage relationships with implementation partners and vendors.
  • Define and enforce architectural and governance standards.
  • Provide structured updates to executive leadership.

Platform & Business Process Enablement (20%)

  • Partner with teams across fundraising, finance, marketing, and operations to optimize business processes.
  • Define and implement future-state operating models.
  • Ensure improved donor acquisition, retention, campaign performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Support scalable fundraising operations and donor experience improvements.
  • Identify automation and integration opportunities.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making.

Enterprise Architecture, Data & Integrations (15%)

  • Oversee architecture and integration strategies across enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure reliable data flows across systems including CRM, financial systems, digital platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Lead data migration planning and validation.
  • Support data governance practices.
  • Ensure architecture readiness for AI and automation.

Change Management & Organizational Readiness (10%)

  • Lead organizational readiness and change management efforts.
  • Support training, documentation, communications, and adoption initiatives.
  • Create internal champion networks.
  • Monitor adoption and strengthen operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare the organization for future AI-driven capabilities.

People Leadership (5%)

  • Provide leadership and guidance to transformation team members.
  • Promote strong documentation, QA standards, and delivery discipline.
  • Support talent development and capacity building for modern technologies.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology delivery or transformation.
  • Experience leading Salesforce CRM implementations and large-scale systems modernization.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, data flows, and analytics.
  • Experience across fundraising, finance, donor engagement, operations, and technology teams.
  • Experience with AI enablement or automation considered an asset.
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising platforms such as Blackbaud or Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud is an asset.
  • Nonprofit or fundraising sector experience is an asset.
