Singer-Songwriter Stephen Voyce releases new track in support of UNICEF
TORONTO, March 31, 2020 – Canadian-Nigerian singer songwriter Stephen Voyce released his latest single “What’s Going On” today, in support of – and inspired by the work of – UNICEF, the world’s farthest-reaching humanitarian organization for children.
Voyce was first introduced to UNICEF’s work through his involvement in UNICEF Canada’s One Youth 2018 campaign Canada, We Need to Talk. “The deeper I dove into UNICEF’s work, the more impressed I became with them. It really was a no brainer when it came to which organization I’d end up wanting to partner with,” Voyce said.
“What’s Going On” is a song that questions today’s world by asking why? Why is there so much injustice? Why is there so much suffering? To Voyce, “It’s a feeling that consumed me and I needed to release it. I don’t want to just stand idly by if there’s something I can do to at least shed a light, to offer some semblance of hope. For the world’s most vulnerable children, I hope to live to see a day where they don’t feel lost or left behind, that we as a species remember what my mum taught me – we are all connected.”
All proceeds from downloads of “What’s Going On” will be donated to UNICEF Canada, in support of their work in over 190 different countries globally. The song is co-produced by Stephen Voyce, LucaTheProducer and Jay Lefebvre, and released in collaboration with THE UNKNOWN. It is now available on music streaming and download platforms nationwide.
