2024 Impact Report
New Heights. Deeper Ground.

In 2024, conflict, disease outbreaks and climate change continued to challenge children’s lives and futures. But throughout it all, UNICEF was there, providing relief to those who needed it most.

Because that is what we do – with local presence in more than 190 countries and territories, we lead and pioneer integrative and innovative solutions that save children’s lives and help them reach their potential.

And it's thanks to you – our generous supporters across Canada. With your support, UNICEF Canada marked a new record of impact in 2024, raising $88.5M towards our mission for every child!

We are pleased to present our 2024 Impact Report – New Heights. Deeper Ground. Inside you will find some of the incredible ways our collective action changed lives and brought hope to millions of children around the world.

2024 by the numbers

  • Collaborate with 109 schools, families and community groups to raise funds for the world’s children.
  • Supply 445 panels for solar-powered water pumps to provide sustainable, safe water for communities around the world, with support from our Calgary Water for Life Gala donors.
  • Provide 466 Water for Life Bundles — that include soap, water purification tablets and more — which could protect over 95,000 children from waterborne diseases, with support from our Halifax Chefs for UNICEF Gala donors.
  • Engage 2,500 Canadian youths as U-Reporters on issues that matter to them, like climate change and mental health, through U-Report, UNICEF’s digital polling platform.
  • Reach 11.7M children with 20,219 Survival Gifts® — representing critical items such as blankets and therapeutic food from the world’s largest humanitarian warehouse and local suppliers.
